The Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) held their annual Gala this past week at the La Fonda Hotel in Santa Fe. This event draws in local community members, students and staff, alumni, artists, and donors/sponsors to celebrate this legacy of giving back to their higher education students. Activities included a silent and live auction, dinner, cocktails and networking with talented individuals. Members of the DMA team attended the gala to show support and meet the makers of the creative artwork that was presented in this year’s auction.

The event is held to support current and future students of IAIA by auctioning off contemporary pieces of native art, and using the proceeds towards scholarships, emergency funds, academic programs and general operating support. Not only are the auction items one of a kind, but they are created from the talented past and present students of IAIA.

What better way to give back to the students of IAIA then presenting their very own creative work as a token to their classmates. Dyron Murphy Architects supports IAIA, and will continue to help the campus expand in any future endeavours.
