The Chinle Nursing Home is an 80 bed, single story facility designed to accommodate levels 1, 2, and 3 of senior care services. The facility includes resident living/activity areas, caregiver work areas, administrative suite, dining/activity room, exterior covered patios, cafe bistro, physical therapy room and bathing room, occupational therapy, speech therapy, commercial kitchen, commercial laundry facility, and support spaces. Specialized systems include nurse call, wander guard, security system, PA, and audio visual systems.

The design incorporates a modern take on traditional Navajo colors and aesthetics, and is designed to provide a warm and comforting home-like environment for patients. The tiles, carpet, and colored concrete are designed with Navajo basket weave and rug patterns to emphasize connections to cultural elements. The ceilings and fire places shaped like a wood Hogan, providing a traditional and home-like environment.
