The existing meal prep site building located within the John Marshall Health and Social Services campus is an existing building that offers various services and used by the City of Albuquerque. The renovations of the building allow the space to have various uses and can be used for many purposes. A dedicated office suite and conference rooms are provided that can be leased and used by a private tenant or a department of the City of Albuquerque. The center space provides a large open space and conference room that can be used by the community as well. Overall system upgrades of the building were also completed. The new spaces and site layout were developed to work with the existing commercial kitchen in the building that is used for providing meals for various community centers.
The design and alterations respect the original design elements of the building and maintained may of those architectural features while incorporating new design elements to enhance the overall appearance and function of the building. The design also respects the surrounding neighborhood and the main existing building located adjacent to the building. Landscape upgrades throughout the site enhance the overall site layout and provide welcoming spaces for the various users.
