Our team was given the opportunity to design a replacement press box at the Jal Public Schools stadium. The press box, composed of steel sheets welded to rigid steel frames, has an enclosed camera deck which can be used by teams to record games for future review, and which is accessible via a “ships ladder” from inside the press box.

The new press box includes heating and cooling systems, lighting, data jacks and a PA system. The new structure was designed to require little maintenance and withstand the diurnal temperature changes common to the southwest.
