The IAIA CLE is one of the first LEED Gold Certified buildings constructed at a tribal college. The design includes low-flow water fixtures which use 35% less water than conventional counterparts, and use of native plants in landscaping reduces water consumption. Green Cleaning Initiatives were implemented for building occupants and residents, ensuring an enduring commitment to sustainability. Additionally, 78% of the project construction waste was recycled and diverted from landfills.
